PrimE_vote (in progress)

In modern democratic societies, elections play an important role and usually involve controversial issues both on small and large scales. Just like other electronic achievements of humans, electronic elections (e-voting), have been developed to decrease the difficulties of voting and increase features such as transparency, accuracy, fairness and etc. Mathematical and cryptographic methods have provided powerful machineries for developers to propose and engineer various proposals for safe e-voting. One of the main concerns in this area is the “trust” in some authorities which has been a source of considerable issues. Our team has designed a completely new product, PrimE_vote which contains a novel idea that along with providing transparency and convenience, proveably removes the need for such trust in any authorities and achieves perfect ballot secrecy meaning that no one, not even the election organization or the election providing company/servers, can trace a vote back to the voter who casts it. In our product, the community of voters, are themselves the ones who manage, observe, validate and tally the ballots and announce the final results; the highest level of security and transparency. This will obviously turn out to be a base of trust for the voters, to participate in the democratic elections. All the research work has been completed and the product will be commercially launched in the short future.
